"Breed'n Betsy" is an excellent instructional tool for training students to artificially inseminate and pregnancy diagnosis in cattle and horses. On average "Breed'n Betsy" replaces two live cows per student in the training courses. It allows the instructor to observe the student and coach the student in an extremely "life like" situation. Students become more acquainted with the anatomy. I now use "Breed'n Betsy" before ever going to work with live cattle. My students have more confidence and pick up techniques more easily.

At our Agricultural College, we teach 6 Artificial Breeding and Pregnancy Diagnosis courses each year - educating and training at least 70 students in these areas. Over the last 3 years, I have observed Brad Pickford - “our lecturer and practical teacher", successfully teach 12 new students Artificial Breeding techniques in 3 days. This has been possible due to the use of “Breed'n Betsy" - Brad's invention of this realistic artificial cow and its accessories. The newest additions, including the water rectum using warm water and real slater house tracts inside this device, and the new complete and starter cervixs have further added to this complete training package. Breed'n Betsy is certainly the way of the future in the training of students in the artificial breeding business, and while she will never completely replace the use of live animals, Breed'n Betsy does replace 2 cows, per student, per course.* This is the equivalent to one day of using live animals for each of our Artificial Breeding Courses. The maximum of 10 hands inserted per cow, per course is recommended by the Animal Ethics Association of Australia.
